8/6/16: Windy Day

Windy day here on the North Shore of Oneida Lake. Although it is sunny and it seems like a nice cool breeze on land, the lake is choppy. If you’re looking for a fun workout today, come on down and rent a kayak. With the current going strong it will definitely make you work one way. We recommend to people who rent kayaks and paddle boards to start off going into the current so on the way back if they are tired the current will give them a push.

The only boat we have today is our 14ft Voyager which holds 3 people, its a great boat if you’re looking to just float around Oneida Lake and fish. Guys that were staying in a cabin this week told me that natural and bright red is the colors that were biting for them. Metallic and purple/silver is still working also from what I’ve been told the last couple of days. If something different is working for you, stop down to Anglers’ Bay tackle shop and let me know!

It is starting to get quite windy out on Oneida Lake, it looks like it will calm down but around 2 o’clock it might pick back up.

AS OF NOON WE ARE NO LONGER SENDING BOATS OUT DUE TO THE HIGH WINDS.
